The Red Clay Strays, a country rock band from Mobile, Alabama. Emerging in 2016 as a transformation from a cover band, they consist of Brandon Coleman, Andrew Bishop, Drew Nix, John Hall, and Zach Rishel. The band initially gained local popularity, and in 2019, they released "Good Godly Woman," featured in the film "Doctor Sleep". This was followed by singles "No Way to Know" and "Will the Lord Remember Me" in 2020.
The debut album, "Moment of Truth", was released in April 2022, partially funded by crowdfunding efforts. While initial commercial success was limited, their 2022 single "Wondering Why" went viral on TikTok in 2023, leading to their first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100. This boosted their visibility and resulted in a record deal with RCA Records. Their second album, "Made by These Moments", released in 2024, features the lead single "Wanna Be Loved." The band also contributed "Caddo County" to the "Twisters" soundtrack.
