The Players Championship, also known simply as The Players, is one of the premier events on the PGA Tour’s calendar, typically held in March at the prestigious TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Northeast Florida.
Since its inception in 1974, The Players Championship has been intended as an Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) flagship event for the PGA Tour. Despite not being one golf’s majors, The Players is still considered a very prestigious tournament – indeed, it is often considered the unofficial "5th major" of men's golf.
With its generous purse of USD $25 million – the highest of any championship on the calendar – and 80 OWGR points up for grabs, it’s no wonder that this event attracts the world’s top-flight players each year. Indeed, it is known for having "the strongest field in golf."
The Players Tickets
General admission Stadium Pass tickets and a range of hospitality experiences are available for the Players Championship. The Deck, the Intracoastal Club, and the Players Club are available to individuals seeking a premium experience, while the likes of the Greenside Seats, Dye's Pavilion, Island Suite, and The Players Marquee are ideal for large groups, although individual resale tickets may also be available.
All tickets include general admission access to the grounds of TPC Sawgrass, where you'll find a variety of public venues including Stadium Village, a Welcome Experience, Trucks on 10, Tacos on 12, the Wine Lounge, and more where you'll find delicious food and drink.
