The Libertines are a renowned British rock band originating from London, England. Known for their unique blend of rock, indie rock, and garage rock, the band was formed in the late 1990s by Carl Barât and Pete Doherty. They rapidly gained a dedicated following due to their raw sound and energetic live performances.
Their 2002 debut album, 'Up the Bracket', was met with critical acclaim and featured notable singles such as 'Time for Heroes' and 'Can't Stand Me Now'. Although the band faced numerous challenges over the years, including internal disputes and Doherty's well-documented personal struggles, they continued to make music and have remained influential in the music scene. After a hiatus, The Libertines reformed and released their third studio album, 'Anthems for Doomed Youth', in 2015.
