The Jump Season Opener is a fantastic 3-day jump (National Hunt) race meeting for thoroughbred horses held annually in early October at Chepstow Racecourse in Monmouthshire, Wales in the UK.
This extremely popular horse racing fixture is always a special moment as Chepstow Racecourse welcomes the return of National Hunt racing after the beautiful summer of flat racing. The Friday marks the official start of the jumps at the Welsh course and the Saturday features another high-prize money card with the feature race of the afternoon, the Group 3 Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle while the Sunday is Welsh Champion Hurdle Day. Expect to see some of the future stars of the season.
