Overview
- ⏱️2 daysApproximate duration
The Coral Summer Festival is a 2-day flat racing meeting for thoroughbred racehorses held at Sandown Park Racecourse in Surrey, UK.
The fabulous event consists of Gala Stakes Day – also known as Ladies' Day as it is the perfect opportunity for racegoers to show off their excellent style and perhaps win big in the Style Awards – and Coral-Eclipse Day featuring the prestigious Group 1 Coral-Eclipse Stakes. The race is named after the phenomenal 18th-century horse, Eclipse who was undefeated in 18 starts. When it was first established in 1886, it was Britain’s richest race. As it is for 3-year-olds and up, the race gives the horses their first opportunity to face not only their own generation but older rivals.
