The Bobcats are the football team of Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference.
Texas State claims 2 national titles from the school's time in Division II, as well as 14 conference titles. Most of these conference championships were won in the Lone Star Conference in Division II. The college joined the Football Bowl Subdivision in 2012 and played 1 year as members of the Western Athletic Conference. The Bobcats then joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2013.
The Bobcats play their home games at Bobcat Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 30,000.
