Tadej Pogačar is a Slovenian cyclist who specialises in road cycling. He currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. He is a 2-time Tour de France winner and has won 2 one-day Monuments (Liège–Bastogne–Liège and Tour of Lombardy).
In 2019, Pogačar made his debut Grand Tour and won 3 stages of the Vuelta a España and achieved third place overall. In his Tour de France debut in 2020, he won 3 stages and the race overall, as well as the mountains and young-rider classifications, making him the only rider to simultaneously win these 3 classifications. He was the first Slovenian winner and the second-youngest winner of the Tour de France. In 2021, he won an Olympic bronze medal at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games making history by becoming the first Tour de France winner to medal in the road race in the same year. In 2022, he claimed overall victories at the UAE Tour, the Tour of Lombardy, the Tour of Slovenia, and the Strade Bianche. In 2023, Pogačar won the Tour of Flanders, the Amstel Gold Race, the Paris-Nice, and La Flèche Wallonne.
