The Orange is the football team of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
Syracuse claims 1 national title from 1959 and 5 conference titles, all from the Big East Conference. The Orange joined the ACC in 2013.
In 2020, former Orange running back Jim Brown was named the greatest player in college football history. Brown has also been described as one of the best professional football players of all time, due to his incredible performances for the Cleveland Browns, and one of the greatest lacrosse players too.
The Orange play their home games at the JMA Wireless Dome, which has a capacity of 49,250.
