There are many Paralympic nations, each with its own National Paralympic Committee (NPC) approved by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). At the 2024 Games, around 77 nations and 4,400 athletes are expected to compete. The sports programme for the Paris Summer Games consists of 22 sports including disciplines such as athletics, cycling, and swimming, as well as a selection of more unique sports like boccia.
Parking options will vary depending on the venue or event. As most disciplines take place within a city, there should be parking options available, however, it is good to remember that the host city will be very busy during the Games. Parking details and further travel information can be found on Koobit by clicking the event’s Travel & Parking tab.
Due to the number of spectators, visitors, athletes, coaches, and volunteers during the staging of the Summer Paralympics (and the Summer Olympics just before), accommodation can be difficult to find. As part of the understanding when Paralympic hosts are selected, organisers will try their best to provide ample space for everyone. Accommodation and tourism information for each location can be found on Koobit by clicking the event’s Accommodation and Destination tabs, where you will also find a map of places to stay.
