Stade de Reims - also known as Stade Reims or simply Reims - is a French professional football club based in Reims, Marne and currently playing in the country's top tier Ligue 1. The club plays home games at Stade Auguste-Delaune.
Originally founded in 1910 as Société Sportive du Parc Pommery, it was not until 1931 that the club started using its current name. Reims retained its amateur status until 1935 when it became professional. In the mid-1940s after World War II, the club reached the top tier and before the end of the decade, it had won the league for the first time. Despite some ups and downs, the club has had a lot of success having won Ligue 1 several times in the mid-20th century as well as the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue.
