Sporting Clube de Portugal - also known as Sporting CP, Sporting, or Sporting Lisbon in other countries - is a professional sports club in Lisbon, Portugal. It is best known for its professional football team that competes in the Primeira Liga, Portugal's highest competition.
Sporting, along with rivals Benfica and Porto, is one of the "Big 3" clubs in Portugal that have never been relegated from Primeira Liga. It was founded on 1 July 1906 and is the third most decorated Portuguese football team.
