Estadi Olímpic is located in the Anella Olímpica, on the iconic Montjuïc hill overlooking the city. There is limited parking at the stadium. You can reach the venue on foot - in some cases utilising the outdoor escalators - or by metro and then on foot, but the most convenient way to arrive is by public bus.

Parking is available at the Estadi Olímpic but places are limited. The car park is located to the southeast of the stadium with an entrance off C/Dr. Font i Quer.

At the Avinguda del Estadi and Passeig Olímpic, there are public parking spaces for vehicles with reduced mobility badges.

From Plaça d'Espanya, it is a 1.4 km (17 min) walk (using the outdoor escalators)

Exiample is the city’s most central neighbourhood, situated between Cuitat Vella and Gracia, making it the most strategic place from which to explore the entire city. It’s also populated with some of Barcelona’s most upscale restaurants and hotels, and most impressive architectural highlights.

Ciutat Vella is Barcelona’s District 1, where many of the shops, landmarks, and other major attractions are located. Within this inner-city district, you will find a number of different neighbourhoods, each of which offer a unique insight into Barcelona.

La Barceloneta (District 1) is a beachfront neighbourhood in the heart of the city, home to its most famous beach, Playa de la Barceloneta. While beach bums can revel in having the coast at their feet, foodies can indulge in the areas’ outstanding al fresco tapas and seafood dining scene.

Hipsters may prefer the narrow streets and hidden alleyways of the Gothic Quarter and El Born (both District 1), located along the waterfront between the beaches and the shopping district. These grungy neighbourhoods are packed with vintage shops, record stores, galleries, independent boutiques, and plenty of eclectic bars.

Stay close to Las Ramblas, located between the Gothic Quarter and El Raval (District 1), to experience the city’s most exciting party scene.

Gracia, situated towards the edge of the city, is another hipster hub, but offers a more charming local vibe than the tourist-centric Gothic Quarter. The tranquil neighbourhood is loved for its independent shops, cafes, international cuisine scene, and its nightlife.

Barcelona is a cool and progressive city, but to see it at its most progressive stay in Poblenou on the northern end of the city’s coast. Many start-ups are popping up here and, as a result, many trendy bars, cafes, galleries, and concept stores are popping up too. With the beach so close by, the area retains a laid back atmosphere.

Barcelona operates its own underground system, making it easy to explore this large city from wherever you choose to stay.

About Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys

Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium) is an open-air sports stadium located on the hill of Montjuïc in the southwest of Barcelona, Spain.

Opened in May 1929, the stadium was originally built for the 1929 International Exposition. It was renovated in the late 1980s in time for the 1992 Summer Olympics and has a capacity of just under 56,000. The venue has hosted many events over the decades including athletics meets, concerts, hosting American football teams, and being the home of Espanyol from 1997 to 2009 as the RCDE Stadium was constructed.

From the 2023-24 La Liga season, the stadium became the temporary home ground of FC Barcelona after plans were approved to redevelop Camp Nou and its surrounding facilities.
