The Gamecocks are the football team of the University of South Carolina in Columbia. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Previously part of the Atlantic Coast Conference and then independent, the Gamecocks have played in the SEC since 1992.
