Cape Town Stadium is located in the north-west tip of Cape Town city centre, by the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. Although it can be accessed by car, it is recommended that visitors to the stadium use public transport, or travel on foot if they are staying locally.

Travelling to Cape Town Stadium by car is not recommended: traffic around the ground can become incredibly congested on event days, and there is insufficient on-site parking for spectators. However, for those who must travel by car, parking in the city centre a short walk away from the stadium is recommended. The nearest car parks to the stadium include:
Many of the roads around the stadium can be used for a quick stop, allowing for drop-offs or pick-ups. There is also a designated "drop & go zone" at the Breakwater Campus buildings on Portswood Road, a 850 m (10 min) walk from the stadium complex, but please note that this facility is not affiliated with the stadium.

Cape Town station, the city's main rail hub, is located just a 2.5 km (30 min) walk from the stadium. The station is well-connected to the Cape Town's many suburbs, thanks to the city's metro network, and is also connected to the rest of South Africa by rail. If you do not wish to walk from the station to the stadium, the 108, 109, 113, D05, and T01 buses all travel between the 2 locations.
Spectators are not allowed to bring food and drink into the stadium from outside. There are however several food and drink vendors within the stadium.

Accessibility & parking
There is an entrance ramp to the stadium which can be accessed off Fritz Sonnenberg Road. Within the stadium, there are lifts (elevators) located in all foyers. These provide access to all hospitality, conference, banqueting, and accessible match-viewing areas.
Dedicated seats and bays for disabled spectators are located on level 2 of the stadium.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets located on level 2 of the stadium.
There are plenty of cycle lanes and routes in and around Cape Town, making it an attractive place to take to 2 wheels. For those who wish to hire or drop-off a bike, there is an Up Cycles station located in Silo 5 of the Victoria and Albert Waterfront.
Walking is a straightforward way to reach the venue, whether you are staying nearby or travelling into Cape Town especially for an event. From Cape Town city centre it is a 3.0 km (36 min) walk to the stadium, whilst for those who come into the city on the train, it is just a 2.5 km (30 min) walk from the main station.
If you are travelling from one of Cape Town's outer suburbs, it may be preferable to catch a bus or a taxi.
