Since Bloemfontein is such a small city, all of its highlights are located in an easy walk or short diving distance from Bloemfontein Central. This includes all things cultural and entertainment based including museums, restaurants, nightlife, and landmarks.
The city’s other populous neighbourhood is Westdene, which is just a couple of kilometres west of the city centre. This means that all of Bloemfontein’s highlights are within easy reach, and the city’s best malls are even closer.
One of the greatest things about Bloemfontein, however, is the sheer amount of sensational national parks and nature reserves surrounding it. So why stay in the city when you can get close and personal with the African wilds in a villa, cottage, or tent hidden in the grasslands. Some popular places to do this include Golden Gate Highlands, Mokala National Park, and Willem Pretorius Game Reserve.
