Skelleftea AIK (Skellefteå AIK) is a professional ice hockey club based in Skellefteå, Sweden who play in the top tier of the country's ice hockey leagues, the Swedish Hockey League. The club was founded in 1921, although the first competitive ice hockey games were not played until 1943 when they played in a local league. Since then, they have grown from strength to strength and, despite being in the second league (Allsvenskan) from 1990-2006, they were promoted again and have won the league several times and have played in the Champions Hockey League, Europe's elite club continental tournament.
