The Seattle Sounders are a professional men's football team who play in Major League Soccer's Western Conference.
History
Founded in 2007, the Sounders are a phoenix club carrying the same name of the original franchise that competition in the North American Soccer League between 1975 and 1983.
The team joined MLS in 2009 and won the US Open Cup in their first campaign. More success has followed in that competition and in the MLS Cup, and in 2022 they became the first team outside Mexico to win the CONCACAF Champions League.
