There are several parking lots close to the Marina:
The 30 Stockton bus runs between Yacht Road and the Caltrain station via downtown San Francisco. For the Marina, get off at Mason St & Yacht Road, which is 640 m (8 min) walk away.
BART does not operate any stations close to the Marina, but visitors arriving in San Francisco via Caltrain can take the 30 Stockton bus from the station all the way to Mason St & Yacht Road.
It is possible to bring your own boat to the Race Village in order to watch the action from the water. Visitors interested in doing so should register with SailGP to receive updates about course routes and other important information. There will be a race exclusion zone marked with orange buoys on event days, and boat owners should arrive early and stay outside this zone.
Cycling is very popular around the Golden Gate Bridge, and visitors interested in renting bicycles can do so from a number of local companies, including Bay City Bike and Bike and Roll.
The Marina district is very safe and popular with walkers and joggers. Located around 5.0 km (60 min) walk from the centre of downtown, walking is a good option for those coming from the north of the city.
