The Samoan rugby league team debuted in 1986, at the Pacific Cup. Since then, they have gone on to become a highly competitive and well-respected national team, collecting 2 consecutive Pacific Cups in 1990 and 1992, and reaching the quarterfinal stage of the Rugby League World Cup on 3 occasions.
Samoa are known for their skill, flair, and physicality, as well as for their famous national war dance, the Siva Tau, which they perform before each match.
