Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn (real name Rami Sebei) is a Canadian professional wrestler of Syrian descent. He is currently a member of WWE SmackDown.

A versatile performer with an extensive background in pro-wrestling, Sami Zayn has wrestled matches in more than 29 countries. Like fellow WWE star Kevin Owens, Zayn is a canadian grappler who spent significant time with Ring of Honor in his earlier years, where he wrestled as a luchador character called El Generico. He has also appeared for Pro Wrestling Guerilla, International Wrestling Syndicate, and DDT Pro Wrestling.

In 2013, Zayn signed with WWE and was sent to the company's developmental brand, NXT, where he won the the NXT Championship in 2014. Zayn made his Raw debut in 2015. He has taken on numerous personas during his time on the main roster, including a conspiracy theorist and "The Great Liberator", and is known for his high-risk style and sense-of-humour. The latter came to the fore in 2022 when Zayn forced his way into "The Bloodline" – a family-based faction made up of Roman Reigns and his real-life cousins, The Usos – and was made an "Honorary Uce".

Throughout his time as a pro-wrestler, Sami Zayn has established himself as a reliable fan favourite who adds excitement to any match. He is a multi-time Intercontinental Champion.
