Ross County were founded in 1929, borne out of Dingwall Victoria United, who changed their name upon successfully applying for a place in the Highland Football League, having previously operated in the North of Scotland Junior League.
The Staggies won the Highland League title on 3 occasions, including back-to-back in 1991 and 1992, before joining the Scottish Football League in 1994.
County have enjoyed an impressive rise through the ranks in the decades since; they've won the Challenge Cup several times starting in 2007, and in 2010 they were runners-up in the Scottish Cup.
In 2013 they were promoted to Scotland's top flight for the first time, and in 2016 they celebrated winning the Scottish League Cup.
