Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace - more commonly shortened to RC Strasbourg Alsace or simply Strasbourg or RCSA - is a French professional football club based in Strasbourg, Alsace and currently playing in the country's top tier Ligue 1. The club plays home games at Stade de la Meinau.
Founded in 1906 by a group of young men in Neudorf when Strasbourg was part of the German Empire, the club is one of just 6 clubs to have won all 3 major trophies in France (the league title, the Coupe de France, and the Coupe de la Ligue). The club had a tumultuous past due to the history of the city but saw particular success from 1976 through to the end of the decade. After some shaky years, Strasbourg returned to professional leagues and started seeing more success in the mid-2010s.
