Match day traffic around the stadium can be incredibly busy, and the waiting times to exit the roads around the ground can be very long. If you can travel via other means, it is recommended that you do so, however there are parking facilities, should travelling by car be necessary.
On-site
The car park located at the west end of the stadium is available on a pay-and-display basis, on non-match days. However, on match days it is reserved for Forsyth Barr Stadium Membership holders only.
Disabled-accessible parking is also available on-site, including on match days, on a first-come first-serve basis. The main accessible car park is located within the East End car park, between Gates E and F, but there is also overflow parking available on Logan Park Drive. A mobility pass must be displayed at all times, when using either of the accessible parking areas.
Off-site
Off-site parking is available free of charge in the harbour area near at the corner of Wickliffe and Fryatt Street, south of the Water of Leith.
On a non-match day, it can take as little as 5 minutes to travel from central Dunedin to the stadium, however on match days traffic is likely to make this journey slightly longer. On match days, taxis should be pre-booked, as demand is normally very high.

As such, it is not usually possible to travel to the stadium by train. The station is however still used as a bus terminus - see the Coach & Bus section for more information.
Dunedin Stadium is on the north bank of the Water of Leith, and is only a 350 m (4 min) walk from Otago Yacht Club, which allows visiting boats to occupy its berths - although pre-booking may be necessary.
It can take less than 10 minutes to cycle to the stadium from central Dunedin. There are bike racks immediately outside the stadium.
