Queens Park Rangers, more commonly known simply as QPR, are a professional football club based in west London, England. They play their home games at Loftus Road, and their other nicknames include the Hoops, the Rs, and the Rangers.
📜 QPR History
QPR were formed in 1882 as Christchurch Rangers. They changed their name 4 years later after merging with another team, St Jude's, and they derived their name from the Queens Park area of London where many of their players were from.
They would not settle on a permanent home at Loftus Road until 1917; in the intervening period, they played at almost 20 different grounds, setting a league record in the process.
QPR won their first major honour in 1967 when they lifted the League Cup, becoming the first team playing in the Third Division to win the trophy.
