Polyphia are an instrumental rock band from Plano, Texas, United States. Formed in 2010, the group features guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman. Their sound blends progressive rock and metal with elements of pop, hip-hop, electronic and trap, anchored by highly technical guitar work.
The band first drew attention when a playthrough of their track "Impassion" from the EP "Inspire" went viral online. They released their debut album "Muse" in 2014, followed by "Renaissance" in 2016 as their profile grew on the progressive and instrumental circuits. With "New Levels New Devils" (2018), featuring the breakout single "G.O.A.T.", Polyphia pushed further into genre fusion and modern production.
In 2022 they issued "Remember That You Will Die", which includes notable tracks such as "Playing God", "ABC" and "Ego Death" featuring Steve Vai. The band are recognised for reshaping contemporary guitar music and for their influential presence across digital platforms and global touring.
