Patrick Reed is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour, born in San Antonio, Texas, on 5 August 1990. He is known for his tenacity and success, especially in team competitions like the Ryder Cup, earning him the nickname "Captain America."
History
Reed helped lead Augusta State University to consecutive NCAA Division I titles in 2010 and 2011 before turning professional.
It did not take him long to secure his first victory, taking top spot at the Wyndham Championship in 2013. He won his first major title at The Masters Tournament in 2018, and he also picked up victories in 2 World Golf Championships prior to their removal from the golfing calendar.
