Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus - more commonly shortened to Olympiacos FC or simply Olympiacos - is a Greek professional football club based in Attica and playing in the Super League Greece. The club plays home games at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
Founded in 1925, the club is part of the wider multi-sport club Olympiacos CFP with a name derived from the ancient Olympic Games which of course has its historic roots in Greece. The club is the most successful in Greece having claimed almost 50 league titles as well as numerous cups. Olympiacos also regularly reaches European cup competitions with the furthest run being the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals in 1998/99.
