The Philips Stadion is a football stadium located in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is the home of PSV Eindhoven, and also known as PSV Stadion.
📜 History
The venue was built in 1910 as the Philips Sportpark, a sports field constructed for Philips employees; the company team – Philips Elftal – played football matches on it for several years before PSV succeeded them in 1913, and it has been their home ever since.
A wooden stand capable of holding 550 spectators was added in 1916, and the venue has slowly been expanded, built upon, and renovated ever since.
It was a host venue for UEFA Euro 2000, and it also hosted the 2006 UEFA Cup final between Sevilla and Middlesbrough.
