The Netball World Cup will be back in 2027 and it's heading to Sydney, Australia!
The event takes place every 4 years, and in 2023 it was hosted in Cape Town. Australia won the title in that event, continuing the impressive domination of the tournament by the Kiwi and Australian teams. One of those 2 nations has won the World Cup in each of the 15 iterations of the competition that have taken place, with Trinidad & Tobago the only other team to find success when they joined New Zealand and Australia in a 3-way tie for the title in 1979. England, South Africa, and Jamaica have come close to glory at various tournaments, so they will all be dreaming big in 2023.
Can the Australian Diamonds defend their status as world champions? If not, will it be arch-rivals New Zealand to take them down or will the Netball World Cup see a new winner after so many years?
