The Nedbank Golf Challenge is a professional men's golf tournament and part of the DP World Tour. Established in 1981, it was formerly an invitational event with an exclusive field of only the best the game has to offer.
The inaugural competition had just 5 players competing, and for many years the field stood at 12 before it became a DP World Tour event in 2013. Now featuring 64 of the world’s top players, the tournament is known as “Africa’s Major."
In 2024, Johannes Veerman made it back-to-back American victories in the competition for the first time since Jim Furyk's wins in 2005 and 2006 when he finished 1 stroke ahead of a 3-man chasing pack comprised of Matthew Jordan, Romain Langasque, and Aldrich Potgieter.
