The NBA Cup, which debuted in the 2023-24 season as the NBA In-Season Tournament, is a new annual competition which features all 30 NBA teams, running concurrently with the regular season.
As the teams complete their league fixtures, they also progress through a group phase and knockout rounds of the NBA Cup, culminating in semifinals and a climactic final at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where the champions will be the recipients of the new NBA Cup trophy.
This tournament – akin to the WNBA Commissioner's Cup and European football cup competitions – raises the stakes in this early part of the season, giving the teams some all-important silverware and bragging rights to fight for.
The Milwaukee Bucks saw off Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 in the final of the 2024-25 edition thanks to a masterclass performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
