Myles Smith is a British singer and songwriter from Luton, England. Born on 3 June 1998 into a British Jamaican family, Smith was raised in an ethnically diverse environment that greatly influenced his musical style. From a young age, he taught himself to play guitar and piano, performing at local open-mic nights, and drew inspiration from artists like Ed Sheeran and Marcus Mumford.
Smith gained widespread recognition via TikTok in August 2020, posting acoustic covers that quickly went viral. His rendition of The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather" gained significant traction and led to a record deal with Sony’s RCA Records. In 2023, he released several singles including "My Home" and "Solo". His debut EP, "You Promised a Lifetime", launched in March 2024, and featured the single "Stargazing", co-written with Jesse Fink and Peter Fenn. Smith's rising profile was further cemented by his performance on the BBC Music Introducing Stage at the Radio 1 Big Weekend in 2024.
