Mosconi Cup 27-30 Nov 2026

Went to last year's, 2024, Mosconi cup in Fla. Enjoyed the pool, the cheering and rooting for the teams. The play was also very good. HATED the ridiculously loud music from those 36 speakers. Was this a rock concert? We also never heard any of the interviews just music too loud even with ear plugs. The other problem was crown control. Was it necessary to have a bar right in the arena?? No attempt was made to take care of the unruly part of the crowd, the drunken bums who have no respect. Cussing the players, there were young children there, and making noise while the players are down on the shots. Seems like the same thing went on in England. I will never go back, and the same statement was made by the rest of our group.

I have attended the Mosconi Cup a dozen times, here and abroad. I purchased VIP tickets mainly to have a nice meal beforehand with like-minded fans. I am not a big drinker and did not expect the soft drink variety to be great but the meals were disappointing considering the cost of the tickets. It would be very easy to choose food that cannot easily be overcooked and keep well (curry/rice, lasagne, casserole-all of which can also be vegetarian). Example - last day, boiled potatoes that were hard in the middle and none of the 3 mains had any sauce served with it even though implied they were cooked with one and was all quite hard to get down. We are not all there to get drunk on cheap beer and wine and some of us love the game and want to have a nice evening and experience.

I had been to the Mosconi cup in 2019 with several friends and family. We had a great time then and planned to go again. We decided to go again in 2024, liking the fact that it was held in Florida and not Las Vegas. This time it was a disappointment for all of us. Not the players, they all did a great job and played fantastic. The PLAYERS would get a 5-star rating, but the terrible noise killed the entertainment rating. The worst part was the 36 loudspeakers that BLASTED music after every game at about 150 db. This was not a rock concert, what was the reason for that? We all hated it, and it was loud even with earplugs. They even blasted the music while they were having interviews with the players?? I surely would have preferred to hear the interview. The other problem was the drunken obnoxious fans, why have a bar right in the arena? Probably only 10 percent of the spectators, but there was no control taken of the fans who hollered and cussed while the players were shooting. I was embarrassed to be an American. All of us decided we NEVER want to go back.

What a disappointment. I was only able to buy cheap seats for the last night. Ticketmaster required you to buy each night separately and by the time I tried to get another night, everything was sold out. Needless to say I wasn’t going to travel from California to Florida for so-so seats on the last day
