The RedHawks are the football team of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
Miami claims 22 conference titles and 8 division titles. The RedHawks have competed in the MAC since 1947, and the university has fielded a football team since 1888. Miami is the most successful team in MAC history in terms of game wins, boasting over 700 victories.
Miami is known as the "Cradle of Coaches" because numerous high profile football coaches have been part of the program. This includes Sean Payton, later head coach of the New Orleans Saints, and John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, as well as Sean McVay, a wide receiver at Miami who became the youngest NFL head coach in history when he took charge of the Los Angeles Rams in 2017.
The RedHawks play their home games at Yager Stadium, which has a capacity of 24,286.
