The Men's FIH Hockey World Cup – often simply referred to as the Men's Hockey World Cup – is an international field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
The tournament was inaugurated in 1971 and is held every 4 years, bridging the 4 years between the Summer Olympics. Pakistan is the most successful team, having won the tournament 4 times. The World Cup expanded to 16 teams in 2018, and FIH decided to keep the same number of teams for 2023 when it was hosted by 2 venues in the Indian region of Odisha. In 2026, it will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.
