The Melbourne Cup Carnival is a spectacular week-long race meeting for thoroughbred horses held at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia.
Across the week, there are 4 days of racing action including fantastic Group 1 races like the Victoria Derby, the Melbourne Cup, the Crown Oaks, and the Mackinnon Stakes. The Melbourne Cup is Australia's most famous horse race and is the richest "2-mile" handicap in the world and one of the richest turf races. As it is held on the Tuesday which is always a public holiday in the city, it is known as “the race that stops a nation” due to its high viewing figures.
Watching the action live at Flemington Racecourse is the ultimate sporting experience where you can dress up, enjoy a taste of luxury, smell the iconic yellow roses, and witness some of the greatest racehorses in the world.
Melbourne Cup Carnival Tickets
Flemington Racecourse is divided into several enclosures with varying dress code restrictions, access levels, and ticket price brackets. Flemington Racecourse will be separated into 3 key spectator zones:
- General Public Area (public area including General Admission, the Front Lawn, reserved seating in the Hill Stand and Lawn Stand, and much more)
- Dining, Enclosures & Corporate Hospitality (including hospitality areas such as the Furphy Deck, the Rose Room, the Riverside Bar and Bistro, the Parade Lounge, and more)
- Members Enclosure (including Members Only areas with the Club Stand, Grandstand, the Members Lawn, the Birdcage, the Rails Promenade, the Nursery, and the Domain - racegoers require membership to access these areas)
Racegoers purchase a ticket for a full day of racing for one of the areas within one of these zones. There are also accommodation packages on sale.
