The annual Masters snooker event is not only a part of the sport's prestigious "Triple Crown", but it is also the game's biggest invitational tournament. Launched in 1975, the event pits the world's top 16 players against one another in a quest to win the Paul Hunter Trophy, more than £250,000 in prize money, and most importantly, a place in the history books.
