The Warhawks are the football team of the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference.
From 1931 to 1950, the Warhawks competed as a junior college. The team has played 1 bowl game in its history, the 2012 Independence Bowl, in which ULM lost to the Ohio Bobcats.
Doug Pederson is one of ULM's most famous football alumni. Pederson spent 13 seasons playing in the NFL, mostly as a backup quarterback to Brett Favre at the Green Bay Packers, and even won a Super Bowl in the 1996 season. He now serves as the head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Warhawks play their home games on JPS Field at Malone Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,427.
