Louis Dunford, born on 20 January 1992, is an English singer and songwriter from Camden, London. Dunford's musical journey began in Islington, North London, where he took up piano at 15, inspired by a chance encounter with an instrument left in his family’s new home. His early influences included artists like Elton John, which helped shape his unique style that blends music with personal poetry.
Dunford's career gained momentum when media entrepreneur Jamal Edwards discovered his song "When We Were Hooligans" on YouTube. His debut EP, "The Morland", provided raw narratives of life on the Morland Estate in Islington. In 2021, after signing with Sony Music, Dunford released a cover of "Stay Another Day" by East 17, paying homage to the iconic 1994 Christmas single.
His second EP, "Popham", features "The Angel (North London Forever)", an anthem embraced by Arsenal F.C. and their fans. Dunford, an Arsenal fan, beautifully captures the community spirit of North London, marking his place in the local and musical landscape.
