Riga is represented by Riga FC, a Virslīga (top tier) football team that plays its home games at Skonto Stadium. FK Rigas Futbola Skola, who also compete in the Virslīga play their home games at LNK Sporta Parks.

Riga, the capital city of Latvia, is historically a port city that sits on the coast of the Gulf of Riga in the Baltic Sea.
