Carolina Giraldo Navarro, known professionally as Karol G and nicknamed "La Bichota", is a reggaeton and Latin urban singer from Medellín, Colombia. Emerging from local talent shows and reality television, she signed with Universal Music Latin and released her debut album "Unstoppable" in 2017.
Karol G has since expanded her sound across reggaeton, urban pop and Latin R&B on albums such as "Ocean", "KG0516", "Mañana Será Bonito", "Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season)" and "Tropicoqueta". She has scored global hits including "Tusa", "Bichota", "Provenza", "TQG", "Secreto" and "China". Widely credited with reshaping a historically male‑dominated genre, she has received major honours including Grammy and Latin Grammy awards and Billboard Music Awards. In 2026 she became the first Latina artist to headline Coachella, cementing her status as one of the leading voices of contemporary Latin music.
