Jade Thirlwall is a British singer and songwriter from South Shields, England. Often known simply as Jade, she rose to prominence in 2011 as one quarter of Little Mix, the group formed on The X Factor UK. With a versatile pop-R&B style that embraces dance-pop and close harmonies, she has also become known for advocacy on LGBTQ+ equality and anti-racism, as well as charity and TV work alongside her music. After Little Mix went on hiatus in 2022, she began developing solo projects and writing collaborations.
As part of Little Mix, Thirlwall contributed to hit singles including "Wings", "DNA", "Move", "Black Magic", "Shout Out to My Ex", "Touch", "Woman Like Me" and "Sweet Melody".
