The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Jaguars compete in the NFL's AFC South division, and play their home games at EverBank Stadium.
Jacksonville Jaguars History
The Jaguars were established in 1993 as an NFL expansion team alongside the Carolina Panthers. Tom Coughlin served as the inaugural head coach leading the team to early success, including 4 consecutive playoff appearances from 1996 – 1999. The Jaguars made the AFC Championship game in both 1996 and 1999, as well as later in 2017, but remain one of 4 NFL teams yet to reach the Super Bowl.
While the Jaguars have cultivated a loyal fan base in North Florida, they are also known as "London's Team" due to their participation in the NFL's International Series. The franchise uses Wembley Stadium as its home venue when in the UK, and, aside from the Covid-hit season of 2020, have played annual home games in the country since 2013.
