The India Open, known for sponsorship reasons as the Yonex-Sunrise India Open, is a BWF Super 750-level badminton event, and India's premier international badminton competition.
The tournament's inaugural edition took place in 1973, but it was then discontinued in 1997, only to be resurrected in 2008, when it became part of the Gold level of the international badminton Grand Prix. After many successful editions, the India Open was added to the BWF's annual World Tour, and in 2022 it was announced that the competition would be elevated to Super 750 status, making it one of the most prestigious badminton tournaments in the world!
The India Open takes place at K.D. Jadhav Indoor Hall, within the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, in New Delhi.
