Houston Christian University (formerly known as Houston Baptist) fielded its first football team in 2013, as part of a short development season.
In 2014, the Huskies began to compete officially as an FCS team within the Southland Conference.
Houston Christian play their home games at Husky Stadium, and the team colours are royal blue and orange.
