📜 Holy Cross Crusaders Football History
Holy Cross began its football program in the 1880s, although the team did not face another college until 1891. The Crusaders took on Boston College in 1896, igniting a rivalry between the schools that became one of the most heated in New England.
In 1986, Holy Cross became a charter member of the Colonial League, later renamed the Patriot League. The Crusaders have won more than 10 championships since the founding of the conference.
Holy Cross play their home games at Fitton Field, located on the campus of the college.
