The Hangzhou Open is a hard court ATP 250 tennis tournament, staged in Hangzhou, China. The event has so far shone only briefly – albeit brightly – as it made its debut on the tour in 2019 as the Zhuhai Championships. Australian Alex de Minaur was the inaugural champion.
After the cancellation of recent editions as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Zhuhai Championships returned to the ATP tour in 2023: it was the first ATP tournament to be played in China for 4 years.
The competition relocated in 2024 to the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, taking on the Hangzhou Open name. The central court has a retractable roof and the tournament is considered an outdoor event. Alongside the Chengdu Open, the Hangzhou Open acts as one of the curtain-raisers for the ATP tour's "Asian swing".
