Extremely well organised, golf was amazing. One small complaint, the price of drinks ... £6 for a beer ... !!
The presentation if the awards was awkward. The bagpipes came in leading the key volunteers & staff, they went to the last green and the pipes continued to play. Very impressive.
At that point we expected Dow CEO & the Head of Diversity to walk over the bridge with the two winners behind. That would have been classy.
Instead after the bagpipes there was a long wait and then a video was played. It was dumb. It repeated everything that we already knew & it interrupted the flow of what could have been an impressive end to a great week.
Skip the video next time.
Great experience!
Very poor if this was a gents there would be Moor for children and more merchandise outlets this is the worst ladies venue I have visited give it a miss until sky TV are not involved
Poor food outlets only 4 outlets
Excellent viewing, attended on Friday so not tremendously crowded.
Fantastic event. Very quiet on Thursday and Friday with few lines for food and drinks. You were very close to the players and often their families or agents. You saw great shots, a few bad ones that cost them the tournament or cut, and difficult green and bunker complexes. In this tournament you got a real view of professional golf. One recommendation would be a cross-over for fans on hole 15 and some other holes. Also it was almost impossible out on the course to know the standings.
Fantastic tournament and stunning course, I had a brilliant week
Agree with the guy before me. Shocking shuttle service for buses. Not enough of them at Longniddry Station then going back the bus left at 5pm instead if 5.10pm. Meant we missed the connecting train and waited 1 hour at the station for tge next train. Take your car !
Golf was great but the access was appalling. The trains run infrequently, the buses can’t accomodate the numbers and on Friday left the venue at 5 pm not 510 as scheduled just as we arrived at the stop , This meant we missed our train
We then waited another 40 Montfort then bus which didn’t meet any train leaving us wait at the train station for which for then train which was then delayed also
It took two and a half hours to get from the golf to Edinburgh- yhis wouldn’t meet the standards in most third world countries!
Was in Palm Springs on holiday from Scotland and went along to watch the golf. Superb day up close to the players as it’s played over 3 courses, great weather, great burgers and cold beer. Would highly recommend a visit. We will be back in 2023.
From the moment we arrived at the car park to time we got back to car later everything was so well organised Bus drivers so friendly, ticket booths gave us wonderful welcome The coffee and food experience excellent The golf was top class Was great to be close to so many legends Being Irish we were very proud of the golfers and of The Irish Open Thank you Excellent facilities Felt the shop could have displayed more products No caps in which I love to collect until 3rd day of Open otherwise we had a fantastic time
Wow, what an awesome even!! We had a great time at this venue and look forward to attending another LIV event.
Had a great time watching the golf and in the fan zones
A great experience watching tour pros near home and so inexpensive
Terrific value we hope you are back there next year
Omg… I have never been more ashamed of Canadians ever. It was a drunk fest not a golf tournament where there is an etiquette. As far as the course goes that hosted it they did a terrible job. Line ups for the concessions from 45 minutes to an hour. At the end of the tournament when leaving there was so much garbage and beer cans on the ground it was discussing. There were even beer cans in the toilets. Needed much more security to get the drunks out. The golfers were harassed by the heckling. This was a terrible experience and now I see why no golfers want to come to this tournament. I have heard a rumour that it will be held at this course next year. I personally would not attend.
A terrible experience.
Beautiful golf course however concessions were very slow and dis organized, not alot of garbage and recycling stations ,outhouses full of beer cans in the actual house and in the tank, disgusting!!
Obnoxious drunk fans heckling and yelling at golfers, where's the security,oh I know , sitting along the ropes blocking paying customers views.
Disappointed! Expensive tickets and difficult to access food and drinks. Not nearly enough staff on hand at any concession stands. Most lines 45 mins. No debit or cash. Not enough stands for spectators. For Canada’s only major. We need to do sooooo much better.
Top event.
So I didn't make it, but I watched all of it on the golf Channel
Parking is horrific and the signs and lack thereof are misleading. We missed Thursday because all the public parking was FULL and no alternatives. We soent time, effort, and money to get here. Fingers crossed the next two days are better.
