Very fine experience. Toilet facilities was fine.
2 things to improve:
- on the first 9 holes there could have been more cross-overs.
- On Saturday and Sunday it was not possible to buy sandwich and wraps on the course - only in the village.
Enjoyable experience, easy to get to see player's shots from around the course. Catering limited with minimal indoor seating. I tried to book hospitality but there was No availability or in fact non availability showing anywhere.?
Great event but felt it was cutting back , no free hats or other merchandise. Also hospitality was not open to buy for the public. All was kept for sponsors only all 3 days . It wasn’t full every time we walked past it. As a member of the centurion , and having my course closed for a week due to PIF , it would have been decent for them to offer hospitality to centurion members as we had to forfeit playing for PIF set up and its players …. Very disappointing and hope this doesn’t happen next year!!
Beautiful golf course to watch ladies playing to a very high standard. Shame about all the golf buggies hurtling around all of the time, a real pain in the backside
Easy to attend & park
Food & drink well catered for plus easy access to course and players we wanted to watch
A good experience
Really enjoyed the day . No seating . Would have enjoyed hospitality due to my age and mobility .
Love to see the ladies play. Location was great.
Take a chair….no seating
Fantastic event..great to see the golfers so close up…Dundonald links did a great job!! Very well organised
Good value for money ,quality of golfers
Fantastic day, well organised, great field of player's and a amazing golf course.friendly staff in pro shop.
This is the 3rd year we have attended at Dundonald Links...great venue, easy to park and get into the course. Marshalls and staff very friendly and helpful. Always amazed at how small the crowd is, given the quality of the field each year, but that's fine by me. Lovely course to walk round. Could do with a few stands behind greens, and more food/drink outlets, but suppose the crowd volume might not merit this ?. We only went for 1 day this year, but will look to do two or more days next year as we did last. Great event
Great event. Facilities should be better. Always queues at the toilets. Toilets nearly always clean and well stocked. Good food but not great selection.
Park & Ride worked well. Not enough water fountains. Hot day, long queues. Would help to have paper list of players and the course. Sunny day and hard to read on phone, also too small. Signage of the way to the various holes on the sign posts not enough. People going round with players carrying the scores often didn’t go near the crowd. Far too small to read. Otherwise a good day.
Excellent spectacle for women’s golf
Practice day a great day to attend. Players more relaxed and interact with spectators.
Super exciting to be next to all of the great competitors without hassle, rudeness or inconvenience, on the tees, greens and practice greens.
Everything was organised at the right level of detail and flow, with staff super friendly and helpful.
Would have been nice to see some brands represented, but did not detract from the experience.
Great day and event really well organised. BUT having the players total scores in white lettering on red was a nightmare. It meant the crowd did not immediately react to changes in scores as no one could make out numbers. Many people therefore resorted to using phones to see scores. Otherwise great.
When entering the public car park, there are 2 fields to park in, left or right, depending on which one you are directed to.
On leaving the car park at the end of the tournament, if you are in the right hand car park then be prepared to sit in your car going nowhere for well over an hour due to the complete inexperience of the young boys with hi vis vests and hats on. Cars from all over the place are trying get out of the one exit.
However, if you were in the left hand car park on entering, the exit process is more simple and quicker.
There are 2 exits overall and not one, in fact I saw cars going up another road towards the Muirfield exit.
I was in the wrong side car park, sat for over an hour whilst people were abusing the car park boys, with no supervisors or management to help them, then drove to the other left hand car park road exit and got out in 10 minutes.
The organisers haven't learned or don't care from previous years car park chaos. They have your money and they are patting themselves on the back that the golf itself went well.
Great well organised tournament
