All traffic should enter the racecourse from the A49 down the racecourse main drive. The Golborne / East entrance is also open.

All parking is free of charge at the racecourse. There are 3 reserved car parks for those racegoers with reserved car park passes (normally provided with hospitality badges and to members, owners, and jockeys) and a large gravel car park for all to use.

There are accessible parking facilities located close to the site entrance.

Taxis can drop-off and pick-up racegoers at the venue. It is a useful way to get to the course from Newton-le-Willows and the nearest train station as well as from local hotels. 

Visitors can travel to the racecourse by public bus using the services listed below. The venue is a 644 m (8 min) walk from the bus stop.

• 620 (St Helens to Hindley Green via Ashton and Haydock)
• 320 (St Helens to Wigan via Ashton and Haydock)
• 520 'Peoplesbus' Bus Service (Liverpool City Centre to Haydock Park) on every Saturday raceday the pick up stop on St Johns Lane (next to St Johns Gardens/St Georges Hall) and the bus stop opposite the Showcase Cinema on the East Lancashire Road in Croxteth

On certain racedays there is a complimentary shuttle bus from Newton-le-Willows train station from 2 hours before the first race with return journeys after racing. The selection of racedays with a complimentary shuttle bus service can change: please see the racecourse website for details on the current selection.

Train is one way to reach Haydock Park because of its connections with multiple lines:

• Main line rail (connections to Liverpool & Manchester) – Newton-le-Willows station · approx. 3 miles from course
• Main line rail (connections to London & Glasgow) – Wigan North Western station · approx. 7 miles from course
• Main line rail (connections to London & Glasgow) – Warrington Bank Quay station · approx. 8 miles from course

Shuttle buses or public buses are a good way to get to the course from Newton-le-Willows station. From both Wigan North Western and Warrington Bank Quay stations, you can take a taxi to the course.

Haydock Park has an airfield and helicopter landing area for chartered travel.

Haydock Park is a 1.6 km (19 min) walk from Ashton-in-Makerfield which is the nearest town and has access to shops and eateries.
